My Fancast for ExpendaBelles

Even though he made a joke about Sigourney Weaver playing the role of his ex-wife and she got half the team in the divorce, I actually loved Sylvester Stallone's idea that the Expendabelles would be lead by the former wife of Barney Ross. I'm going to call her "Kate".

The way I picture it, "Kate" could be a retired CIA agent, who met Barney towards the beginning of her career when while overseas she's caught and tortured by a warlord until she's rescued by a young Barney Ross as part of a tactical team and she and Barney were married not too long afterward; she gets recruited to form a new co-ops team.

Sigourney Weaver would be the obvious 1st choice to take the lead.

Unfortunately, Sigourney Weaver supposedly turned down the offer to be a part of the Expendabelles. I don't blame her. The project just doesn't have the right creative team behind it.

That being said, if it WERE in good hands, but Weaver was still out... My choice for the role of Barney Ross's ex-wife would be, the original "Wonder Woman", Lynda Carter.

Like Sigourney, another obvious choice to bring into this female ensemble team would be none other than Linda Hamilton. Most known for her role as Sarah Connor in "The Terminator".

In the story in my head, her character would be Ms. Ross's friend and former college roommate; who served in the Air Force as a fighter pilot.

If we're going to use the "Expendables" cast as inspiration for casting here, and we were looking for someone to be Jet Li's counterpart; then I would choose Michelle Yeoh.

Now, I was looking at the fact that there were athletes in the "Expendables" franchise and the one I chose to focus on was WWF/WWE wrestler, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

My original choice was Chyna, but her untimely passing has forced me to rethink. So, from all my options, I thought to add more diversity by choosing Jacqueline.

My next choice to join the ensemble would be the original Pink Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson. A nostalgia pick for those who grew up in the 90's.

To round out the team, we need someone who's a more current actor like Jason Statham. So, I'd choose Michelle Rodriguez.

As for the cameos, or smaller roles, the 1st one I would choose is Sharon Stone.

She could play the younger sister to Linda Hamilton, and her role could expand in a sequel; if it were to happen.

The next cameo should come from "Foxy Brown" a.k.a. Pam Grier.

I see her as being an old CIA informant.

I know she's not known for any action films, but some of my choices are simply actresses/stars from the past who I thought would be interesting choices; and would love to see here in some capacity.

Glenn Close is big name and the woman I see recruiting Ms. Ross to organize and lead a co-ops team.

Not an actress or an athlete, but was huge in the modeling world with that iconic scene in "National Lampoon's Vacation". The girl in the red Ferrari, Christie Brinkley.

I see her as the unexpected assassin who'd appear at the very end of the 1st film to kill the main antagonist, who thought he was in the clear, but failed the people he was working for.

Probably best known for her role in "Conan the Destroyer", alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'd choose singer Grace Jones to play the main villain in an Expendabelles sequel. My idea: She'd play the leader of a female "League of Assassins".

A Bond Girl from the 60's. 1962's "Dr. No" and 1967's "Casino Royale".

I'd give Ursula Andress a cameo as the mother of Linda Hamilton & Sharon Stone.

Anyone who's seen Netflix's "Sense8" would recognize her for her role as Sun. If a sequel were to happen, Doona Bae would be one of my contemporary choices for potential new members.

Demi Moore's only action role was in "G.I. Jane", but she would be one of my choices for a veteran star to join a sequel.

"The Bionic Woman", from the 70's. Lindsay Wagner would be one of my choices as a possible cameo in a sequel.

Probably best known for her roles in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Pet Sematary". Denise Crosby would be one of my choices for a veteran star to join a sequel.

Talisa Soto played Princess Kitana in 1995's adaptation of "Mortal Kombat". She'd be one of my choices of a nostalgia pick for a sequel.

One of my choices for a veteran star to join a sequel. As a reference, I would look at Gina Gershon's role in 1996's "Bound", written and directed by The Wachowski Brothers; where she plays a tough-as-nails convict.

RuPaul has been around since the 90's. She would definitely be an interesting pick for either a cameo or slightly bigger role, but would add another level of diversity to the potential franchise.

Another one of my choices for a veteran star for a sequel. Lori Petty is probably best known for her role in "A League of Their Own", but does have an action/comedy film under her belt as well with "Tank Girl".

For a more contemporary pick in a sequel on a similar level as Michelle Yeoh, I'd choose "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "House of Flying Daggers" star Ziyi Zhang.

One of my choices for a contemporary star to join a sequel. While Paz Vega was in that awful adaptation of "The Spirit" in 2008, look to her leading role in 2011's "Cat Run" as inspiration.

Can you count her voice acting role as Calhoun in "Wreck-It Ralph" as an action role? Anyways, I'd choose Jane Lynch as a potential cameo in a sequel.

I think it's obvious why I'd choose "Kill Bill" star Uma Thurman as a potential candidate to join the Expendabelles. Seems most people who have been making fancastings have been putting her as one of their picks, though I'd choose to reserve her for a later installment.

Amy Dumas a.k.a. Lita is one of the various WWF/WWE wrestling divas I had considered. She'd be a back-up choice for Jacqueline's role, or a candidate for a sequel.

As far as I know, the lead singer for the band Garbage; Shirley Manson, only has one action credit to her name; and that was in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". Because of that, I'd add her to my choices to join in a sequel.

Arguably the best portrayal of Catwoman, Michelle Pfeiffer would make a welcomed addition to an Expendabelles film.

A member of the Fonda family, it's been over 15 years since Bridget Fonda has been in anything. So, it could be time for a comeback from her. For reference, look back to her starring role in "Point of No Return", the American version of "La Femme Nikita".

Speaking of "La Femme Nikita"...

I'd choose the star of the "La Femme Nikita" television series from the 90's, who also played Mina Harker in the adaptation of "A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", as a possible addition to the Expendabelles.

I don't know if she's ever taken on any action roles, but I do think she could be a strong, badass member of the Expendabelles.

Come on, it's Xena.

Who wouldn't fancast her into an Expendabelles film? I think I'd save her for a sequel.

Most memorable for her role as Cassandra in "Wayne's World", Tia Carrere has had her fair share of roles in action films; most of them smalltime titles, except for "True Lies". Acting alongside some big names like Schwarzenegger and Lundgren, so I'd add her to my choices to join in a sequel.

Another one of my odd choices, because as far as I know she's never done action before; and her most notable role was as the Griswald matriarch in "National Lampoon's Vacation". That being said, I think Beverly D'Angelo would make an awesome addition as one of the veteran stars to join a sequel.

I think the only action credit she has to her name is when she was in the adaptation for "The Phantom" in 1996, and the 2 Zorro films with Antonio Banderas; but I think Catherine Zeta-Jones could be a good candidate for at least a cameo in a sequel.

The 1st one to portray Mystique in "The X-Men". Rebecca Romijn joins my list of candidates for the Expendabelles.

She played the former Borg drone Seven of Nine in "Star Trek: Voyager". One of my candidates for an Expendabelle.

One of the original Charlie's Angels. One of my choices for a potential cameo in a sequel.

No action roles that I know of, but she has the badass factor from "Sons of Anarchy" and "Futurama", and the 90's nostalgia as Peggy Bundy on "Married with Children". My other option for Barney Ross ex-wife, or just as another member of the Expendabelles in a sequel.

The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. One of my choices for an Expendabelle.

Just like how Expendables 2 sees the addition of a woman onto the team, so too should the sequel to an Expendabelles film see a man on theirs. And I'd go with Joe Taslim as my pick for a contemporary male star to join.

As for a veteran male star, I'd go with someone like Lorenzo Lamas to join in a sequel. I'd make him the husband, ex-husband, or boyfriend of either Linda Hamilton's or Sharon Stone's character.

I'd make him the villain's henchman/hired muscle in the 1st film.

James Wood is on this list because I don't think it's necessary to make the villains all female, too.

In the synopsis in my head, he'd play the current director of the CIA as well as Ms. Ross's 2nd husband. I'm picturing a standoff between husband and wife in an office space.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is who I would pick to be the big bad villain at the end of a trilogy, who's been secretly involved, behind the scenes, with everything that happens in the 1st two films.
