Great psychological animated kids movie. It's definitely not just for kids, since alot of the themes and ideas will probably be understood by adults.

The script could use some work, but action, CGI, and nostalgia are good things. I came for dinos, and I got dinos. Plus, Chris Pratt is awesome.
Saw this twice in theaters.

Weakest out of the three in terms of story, but still decent horror entry. Relies on Jump scares though, so be careful.

Furious 7 (2015)

Fun action flick, just don't expect too much in the story department. Bonus points for Paul Walker finale.
Eventually though, it's fun but there's nothing super special about this movie.

Glorious action, choreography, effects, characters. No story, but I came to see a well done film about action. I had no real expectations and this movie had my heart thumping throughout.

It was decent, but compared to all previous marvel movies, this one was a bit messy, and also was not as memorable as the first one.

It's Cinderella as you would expect it. Nothing too special. Not badly done though, it was pretty solid overall.

It's Spongebob. I love Spongebob. But this movie was a bit weird for a Spongebob movie, and the strangeness turns the movie's pacing and development a little off.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015)
9.0/10
IMO best movie of 2015 so far, despite a bunch of blockbusters coming out already. It's classy, fun, violent, vulgar, provocative, and ultimately satisfying. Full of guns, British people, and has a good pace, and a good blend of drama, comedy, action, and thrilling moments. Soundtrack was good too. It's my kind of thing, and this movie hit all my sweet spots.
Saw this twice in theaters and like a million times on DVD.

Taken 3 (2014)

This type of story is getting old. I found it very cliche and anticlimatic. Still, Liam Neeson has some decent action within him.

Damn it. This movie was so cliche and only relied on stupid Jump scares. There was hardly any buildup on them either. Anticlimactic ending as well. No point to the poor story either.

Unbroken (2014)
6.9/10
It was good, but I just thought the antagonist came off as creepy rather than intimidating. Also, could've been more uplifting; I felt it was a whole lot darker and demotivational than it was intended.

Selma (2014)

Just the typical run-of-the-mill civil rights movie. If you're into that kind of thing. I'm pretty sure I would've appreciated it better if I wasn't so tired watching it.
TBH: fell asleep at parts, and given a second viewing my rating would be different. Not gonna watch it again though since I'm too busy.

American Sniper (2014)
6.9/10
Pretty intense, very gripping, but it is kinda just like every war movie. I just give it prop points because I found it more enjoyable than most other war movies, since alot of it dealt with moral consequences, and it had a more theatrical element of a rival enemy sniper included in it. (Made it more entertaining). Also Bradley Cooper was great.

The Interview (2014)
6.1/10
It was funny in some respects, but after about a month I forgot about it because there were more memorable movies like 21 jump st. with the same kind of humor. The hype involved with this movie being banned from theaters probably ruined the potential of the movie for me.

Into the Woods (2014)
6.3/10
It was a decent musical, I liked some of the songs, but ultimately didn't find any replay value in the movie. I guess it had to do with its kind of dark, dreary tone, which doesn't click with (at least in my mind) musicals.

Decent end to the franchise, but I felt that the second entry was slightly better. The action did not feel as fresh, and the story felt like it could have been done in less time than the runtime of this movie.

Movie was actually paced well to my liking. It had some great set piece and memorable moments (even moreso than the latest movie), and it was the first time we get to see Legolas. Damn that was some great nostalgia.

Solid movie, though I think the expectations to live up to the original LOTR trilogy affected how I felt about this movie. Still, I thought it was a fun romp and since it was the first one, nothing much was expected to happen. Serves as great buildup for the superior sequel.

Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)
6.8/10
I felt this movie was going for a LOTR vibe. I felt it and gave it said rating. Solid movie, IDK why critics bashed it. Visual effects were good, script wasn't too bad, and I thought some of the interpretations of Moses' original story were cool. Only downside is the pacing. Really effing long drawn out movie.

The Theory of Everything (2014)
7.0/10
Good, but a bit overrated. It delved from the struggles of being Stephen Hawking and his achievements and went more into his romantic love triangle-esque drama. Not what I was expecting, but I thought Eddie Redmayne was really good, so points for that.

Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)
6.3/10
It's funny, vulgar, offensive just how I like it, but it had a different feel from the first movie in terms of the characters they already established. While the first one is fresh and charming from the original idea, this one tries really hard to be as vulgar, offensive, and stupidly funny even it means making the characters even stupider than in the original (to the point of them being somewhat annoying). Overall it's aight.

Shouldn't have been made into two movies. Whole movie feels drawn out, and since I already know not much is gonna go down unless they change the book, the next movie could be a whole lot worse. Still, this movie has some cool set-piece moments, a bit anticlimactic tho.

Best out of the series. Was pretty close to the book, and did a great job of portraying alot of the scenes. Lots of action, though the finale was a bit messy and complicated.

The Hunger Games (2012)
6.8/10
It was an alright start for the franchise, but I thought the pacing to be a bit too slow for my taste, and the shaky camerawork muddles the action. It had a certain inexperienced quality to it, as if the movie aspired to be much bigger than the movie turned out to be.

I watched this movie with different expectations, and it might've screwed up my rating. nonetheless, it was a solid film with a great performance from Benedict Cumberbatch. I thought it was gonna be more espionage-y, more thriller-y. It was drama instead, but still good.

Dumb and Dumber To (2014)
2.3/10
I can't even remember if I finished this. I thought it was alright when I was watching it, but now that i think about it, it was just too dumb to be funny, and filled with the usual slapstick cliches.

Interstellar (2014)

Highly ambitious and emotional, with brilliant effects, and sound. Some say it's overdrawn and a bit off with pacing, I somewhat agree, but this movie needed it for its really complex story.
Saw it thrice in theaters.

It's dark and messed up, but that's what makes it a good watch. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal puts on an amazing performance. Cinematography is good, pacing is good, the only thing is, this movie is somewhat difficult to watch due to the content. (Now that I think about it, it's aight, but not something I'd watch for fun)

As cliche this movie is, fight scenes are pretty well-done and choreographed. The movie in its own right is very stylish. Otherwise, the story is average and the end was not as good as the rest of the movie.

Big Hero 6 (2014)
8.3/10
Heart-warming, funny, and satisfying to the end. It's my favorite Disney movie since it involves superheroes. The pace is great, the characters are great; the only downside is that this movie is EXTREMELY predictable. I was able to guess pretty much all the twists. That's forgivable considering this is a kid's movie.

I'm just giving this rating because I thought a great handful of the actors gave pretty riveting performances. Not to mention, the cinematography is unique and the filming probably took alot of hard work, and that is appreciated. My only peeve is that I personally thought the story did not exactly suit how the film was made, and I just did not appreciate the story as much as I did the production.

Really gripping and intense at times, and the acting was great. I just thought it slowed down quite a bit in the middle, so it had a bit of a pacing issue; other than that, it was one of the better WW2 movies I've seen.

Sigh. It had to be the follow up to my favorite horror film of all time. It turned out to be another cliche-ridden, jump scare fest. Still, I appreciate the nods to The Conjuring, and that probably helps the rating a bit. TBH, though, there were some good build-ups, though few and far in between.

I had way more fun watching this film without expectations. I thought it was a very thrilling, violent, and nontypical teen/action/book-based film. Despite what other people say, I'd say it's pretty good, especially if you havent read the books, since I heard it differs a bit.
