DLC Quest - PC Games
A somewhat funny satire about the gaming industry these days, that takes place in a very rudimentary platformer.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - PC Games
My favourite GTA. I used to play this so much when I was in my late teens. Recently replayed it and whilst the nostalgia remained, the actual gameplay was not on par with how I remembered it. Clunky shooting mechanics, even worse close combat mechanics, and driving ith cars whose hit-boxes extended outside the actual car. Further more The maximum viewing distance is too close for giving the player proper heads up of what to expect traffic wise in high speed situations. Also the lack of memory dedicated to NPCs in the vicinity means things will disappear the second you look the other way. That and a handful of frustrating missions with a rather poor save implementation drags the score down.
All this said I can't help liking the game. I like its kitschy take on the 80's. The feel and humour of the game is the best in any of the GTAs I've played.* The radio is topnotch, with the talk-shows being the pinnacle. The characters struck me as memorable and enjoyable, cartoony as they are. All in all as I sat in front of my screen with the credits rolling before my eyes I had a sensation of satisfaction. The game had delivered.
* Those being GTA 1, GTA 3, Vice city, San Andreas, Chinatown Wars (DS), and GTA IV.
