I know it seems weird to include a straight-to-DVD movie, but I've never understood why this film is so throughly disliked. The stories are fun, the animation is all right, and the voice actors are good. So why is the rating for this so low? There are a few legitimate problems, like the first story isn't very interesting, and not every joke is that good, and some complained about the wraparound segments indicating that the story takes place in modern time, when the original tales don't, but the actual stories in the film don't, so I fail to see why that's a problem. It's not a great film, but I think it is a good film, and certainly doesn't deserve the insanely low IMDB score it has right now.

Babe: Pig in the City (1998)
IMDB: 5.8
Rotten Tomatoes: 62%
Both "Babe" movies are rated pretty low, but this one in particular has always baffled me. I'm not really sure why because the film's visual style, and amazing directing are at the very least interesting, original and creative. The most common criticism I heard about this film, is that the film was too dark for kids, but even if that were true, it should still be judged as a film on its own right, and from where I'm sitting, this is a really great film.

Sometimes the average filmgoers or critics will unfairly rate a movie. There can be any number of reasons, and partially because film is not a science, opinions will vary. However, I do have to scratch my head at some of these ratings. Here are some of my personal picks for films that are severely underrated in one way.
