Stoked to find this at the Good Will, a forgotten comedy from Savage Steve Holland who brought us Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer. Currently unavailable on Blu-ray.

We're No Angels (1989)
Another somewhat forgotten film that has yet to be released on the Blu. DeNiro and Penn as escaped convicts hiding out in a small mining town with Neil Jordan directing? I'm in.
The Hindenburg (1975)
Found this at a library book sale and I had never even heard of it. Starring George C. Scott and directed by Robert Wise (West Side Story, Sound of Music). Definitely a rare one.
Sphinx (1981)
Another book sale find, on Warner Archive. Never heard of it but it was directed by Franklin J Schaffner who has a stacked resume of great films.
I used to be fairly knowledgeable of Asian cinema, but at some point I just lost track of the releases. I've been seeing a lot of these DVDs popping up lately but I just don't know if they are worth picking up. This was a recent release from Yuen Wo Ping (actual title is The Thousand Faces of Dunjia) and I feel like you can't go wrong with anything he's attached to.
This was part of the Sonny Chiba collection along with 3 other films (Legend of the Eight Samurai, Ninja Wars, Resurrection of Golden Wolf). I've only seen GI Samurai which I really enjoyed. Excited to check out these other films.
Iron Eagle (1986)
I went on a bit of a tear with dollar 80s DVDs at another book sale. Iron Eagle has yet to be released on BR, so yeah it belongs in the collection.
Over the Top (1987)
Guilty pleasure? You betcha. This movie has cheese for days. But I still love the hell out of it.
The Beastmaster (1982)
Definitely don't see this one too often in the wild. Glad to find the Anchor Bay THX version.
I come across anything Ralph Bakshi, I'm buying it. This was released on Blu-ray a while back as a 35th anniversary edition which is currently fetching big bucks.
White Water Summer (1987)
Went to another library book sale and scored a nice stack of dollar Blu-rays, they had a ton of DVDs but sadly only grabbed two for the collection. White Water Summer is another forgotten 80s classic, Kevin Bacon, Sean Astin, survival adventure. Nice to find the remastered widescreen DVD as it's currently not on Blu-ray.

I was surprised that I've never owned this on DVD, IS IT SAFE to buy this for a dollar? You bet your ass it is. I had a root canal done recently so naturally I can appreciate the horrors of this film.
The Secret of Roan Inish (1994)
Came across this at a GW for a dollar, never really heard of it but it's John Sayles so I gotta add it to the collection.
The Mighty Ducks (1992)
Been wanting to revisit these movies for some time now but I rarely come across them in the wild and the Blu-ray is some rare expensive Disney movie club BS. Luckily I found this as a 2 pack with D2 for a dollar.
Childhood favorite right here and I was actually pretty close to buying the Shout Select Blu-ray. Luckily I managed to find the newer DVD released the same year as the BR, found it for 50 cents at a GW.
Recently I've been finding a lot of great stuff on both Blu-ray and DVD at local second hand shops and book sales. I have been tracking my Blu-ray finds in my Blu-ray collection list, but realized I haven't been tracking my DVD finds. Well here you go!
