Anna Popplewell as Christine, a young woman who goes to Ashburg Asylum to find her grandfather.

Toby Regbo as Viggo Vansig, one of the patients at the Asylum. He's a victim of Victor's experiments.

Chris Rankin as Victor Vansig, the head doctor at the Asylum. He's been doing experiments on the patients.

AnnaSophia Robb as Alice Walker, a girl that was taken to the Asylum to be a sort of guinea pig in Victor's experiments. It turns out, she knew Christine when they were at an orphanage together.

Martin Freeman as Detctive Thomas Gibson. He's running an investigation about the Asylum, presumably about Victor's experiments. His wife was a security guard there, but she died on the job. It's implied that Mrs. Gibson was murdered for trying to stop Victor.

Cory Monteith as Alan Walker, a doctor at the Asylum. He's Alice's older brother. He wants to end Victor's experiments.

Jeremy Irons as Count Vladd Vansig III, the man in charge of the Asylum. In "The Asylum Conspiracy," part 1 of the series, he's only a voice-over role, heard in audio tapes hidden around the Asylum.

Ian Holm as Charles Crenshaw, Christine's long-lost grandfather, a patient at the Asylum.

Music by Danny Elfman, if they don't use the original game soundtrack. It's just not a Tim Burton movie if it doesn't have a Danny Elfman soundtrack.
