He's a bit of a crackpot. It turns out, he forged part of or most of Josiah Crowley's supposed final will in his own favor.

Ian Holm as Jim Archer, a banker in Titusville who managed the accounts of the Crandall family and Josiah Crowley.



It turns out, even bankers weren't exempt from the Great Depression - he was having financial issues.

Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Crandall, the current owner of the Lilac Inn.



She recently inherited the inn from her mom, and will gain full control of it after she turns 18 in a matter of months and she no longer needs help from her guardian, Jane Willoughby. Lately, she's been really paranoid.

Jayma Mays as Jane Willoughby, the best friend of Emily's late mother, Gloria, and Emily's current guardian.



She's apparently not very good at her job. It turns out, she's a fake who intercepted the letter that was Emily's cry for the real Jane's help, and she's been trying to scare Emily and force her into selling the inn to her.

Honestly, after watching the first two seasons of Glee, and the first Paul Blart: Mall Cop, I'd really like to see Jayma as a villain.

If it were turned into a movie, he'd still be in the photos, and in flashbacks of some of the instances that the other characters mentioned. Possibly also have him narrate the journals and notes he left scattered around.

Gwyneth Paltrow as Mrs. Farthingham, a local socialite in Titusville. Nancy gets Josiah Crowley's trivet from her for a clue.
