Roanoke was a solid rebound season that still, unfortunately, had many of the problematic elements that previous seasons did. 10 episodes trimmed a lot of the bloat, but it still felt like this season should've been about 6-8 episodes, with less time spent of the My Roanoke Nightmare, and more on the aftermath. "Chapter 6" is still the season's benchmark, one of the series' finest episodes. "Chapter 10" was November's best offering, featuring an okay conclusion often saved by a towering performance from Adina Porter. It's kind of odd that the season's best performance came from a "guest star", but AHS is often quite odd.
