Predictions made January of 2023

The box office is now getting a little easier to predict with movies less likely getting bumped/switched to streaming, etc. but it is still tough to really know what people will spend their money on and for how long those movies will actually be in theatres. Unfortunately it won't likely be a year a where adult dramas or comedies make much of a splash as those just can't draw big numbers any more. There may be a big breakout surprise, which is why I added "Strays" for the adult comedy and "Oppenheimer" for the adult drama; but I'm not seeing much on the calendar, just a bunch of kids, action, sequels and superhero movies. Kind of dull, but I still find predicting fun.
