This list is for anyone (myself included) who wants to get into and/or keep track of the main Resident Evil (Biohazard) series and expanded universe by Capcom.
This list will cover:
-Which versions of the games are the most definitive in terms of gameplay and features, along with tidbits & extras that expand upon them.
-Mods ranging from graphical improvements,to bug fixes, or series bonuses.
-Also, the best ways to enjoy the side/bonus materials. Canonicity varies (especially with some extras), but isn't the end all be all in terms of enjoyment.

There's a fan 'remake' in progress by Gemini, who's also using his engine to help finish team IGAS 1.5 project and a classic style mercenaries game called Hazardous Battle, with the subtitle Behind The Mask which will re-imagine the game in a classic RE style.
