Before obeying the GI's order to jump, she asked for her make-up kit. When told, 'Miss Wong, there's no time for that', she explained that there will be reporters taking photographs of her once she reached the ground. She got her make-up, she jumped and fell and she was right. Jadin survived, though very badly scratched and bruised to be honored by the U.S. House of Congress for clocking in endless hours performing for U.S. soldiers in deadly warzones.
Former professional dancer. Was on the cover of Life magazine. Also the number one Talent manager for Asian performers in New York City for over 40 years.
Fainted while dancing in a Conservatory in Los Angeles because she had been starving, saving up money for dance classes. The dance teacher told her to take care of her body, which to a dancer was like a racetrack driver's car, which needed gasoline, and thus her body, food. Too shy to reveal her poverty, and her teacher too polite to directly offer, he cooked the class soup everyday instead.
Discovered in Hollywood when a compassionate producer noticed that she was so starving poor she was only wearing her torn tap dance shoes, walking down Sunset Boulevard. He subsequently brought her home where his wife cooked them all dinner.
Performance career started at age 6 when she won a contest and was rewarded with a cash prize. Her worried mother asked her where the money came from and told her to return it, only to find the director who told her daughter to keep it because she had earned every cent of it.
