Images with black borders

I have noticed in the last couple of days, images have black bars on one or two sides in the image galleries or the profile pictures. They were not like this before, so I am not sure what is causing this problem. It is easier to see when the image has a white background, but I think it is happening for others too.

It is even happening in my profile picture.

Not only that, most of my profile pictures became blurred days ago. They were much more defined/normal resolution like when I uploaded them.

I've noticed this too. Hopefully it goes away.
