Greg was born in Wilmington North Carolina to a wonderful family with 3 older sisters. All the Sproles' kids spent their days swimming and playing all sports. Their father was a University athletic coach and professor, with lofty goals for his children. After high school, he served his country in the Navy. Then, he tried his hand at many jobs (none of which seemed to fit). Starting out as an extra in a tv show 'The Cape' he was bumped up to stand-in day one for Adam Baldwin (whom he would double quite a few times later in his career).
