Isotope was a normal human being until he was involved in an accident which gave him superhuman powers.

Isotope worked for Machine Head, helping him achieve his various goals. It is mentioned that he ended up being shot with a gun while doing a job for Machine Head and whined about it long enough to annoy his boss. Isotope works for Machine Head and teleports him wherever he needs to be, including The Popsicle Palace.
